

Terry was born on September 9, 1939, to Raymond and Margaret (Melvin) Manley in Traverse City, Michigan. He graduated from Waldorf High School in Waldorf MN, in 1958. Terry married his highschool sweetheart Bonnie Spangler on August 30, 1960. He enlisted in the US Navy and served for 20 years. He served tours of duty in Vietnam and was a Navy SEAL.
Terry and Bonnie owned and operated three beauty colleges in San Diego, CA. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He loved watching football and "Gunsmoke" on TV. Terry had a great sense of humor and had fun making everyone laugh.
Terry is survived by two grandchildren, Courtnie Valdes of CA, and Carlie Valdes of AZ; great-grandson, Adrian Valdes of CA; brother, Richard (Mary) Manley of Pueblo, CO; sister, Shari (Jim) Beckel of Cleveland, MN; brother-in-law, Jim (Mary) Spangler of Burnsville; sister-in-law, Deb (Dennis) Clobes, Courtland; nieces and nephews; close family friend, "Auntie" Robin Felix of AZ.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie; daughter, Cheryl; son Michael; brother, Jim; parents-in-law, Ken and Veronica Spangler.
The funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10:00AM at the Glen Abbey Funeral Home in Bonita, CA, followed by Military Honors. Afterward a celebration of Terry's life will be at McP's Irish Pub and Grill in Coronado, the Navy SEAL's favorite local gathering place.”
