Theresa Garmer

She was born on March 6, 1934. Born and raised in National City where she graduated in 1952 from Sweetwater High School. Daughter of Daniel & Jesus Ledesma.

She was the last living of her siblings. She came from a big family with 9 other siblings, 5 boys & 5 girls in total. Preceded in death Joe Ledesma, Tony Ledesma, Connie Aguayo, Frances Sandoval, Ruben Ledesma, Sally Pena, Daniel Ledesma, Belia Haig & Dickie Ledesma.

At age 16 she began working at Holsum/Fornaca Bakery where she was a thrift store cashier and checked in the bread drivers. She loved and enjoyed getting to know her co-workers and customers. She retired at age 62, loving her job.

In 1955 she married Frank Lujan and had 6 children together. Annette, Frankie (Lily), Patsy (Frank Theroux), Barbara, Lola (David) & Jimmy.

In 1980 she married her love Donald Garmer (grandpa) he passed on April 4, 2019. Who had 4 children of his own. Greg (Mary), Gwen, Geff (Michelle) & Gerry.

She loved to travel with grandpa in their motor home to Montana. She enjoyed spending time with her in-laws Bill & Jenny. Oh, how she loved spending time with her family. She always loved getting together for family gatherings. She leaves behind lots of nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to her 16 grandchildren, Dominique (Andrew), Lil David (Karina), Christopher (Candace), Andrew, James-JP, Alexandra, Karlee (Sam), Matthew, Michael, Briana & Lucas, and Kyle. She also loved spoiling her 11 great grandchildren, Balin, Andrew, Patricia-PJ, Sean, Sofia, Josiah, Jacob, Roman, Millie, Caleb & Stone.
