

Victoria grew up with ten siblings. She had eight brothers, Jose, Saturnino, Elias, Rodolfo, Jacobo, Andres, Sergio and Gregorio, and two sisters, Rosa and Isabel. Victoria was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
A typical teenager, Victoria had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Glendale Adventist Academy. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
On June 4, 1961 Victoria exchanged wedding vows with her sweetheart Earl Joseph Labry in Glendale, California. Empathic and loyal, Victoria was committed to making her new family happy.
Victoria worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Victoria was blessed with three children, daughters, Victoria Inez and Ellen Annette, and son, Ercelle Joseph. Another blessing for Victoria was the gift of two grandchildren, Anais and Ercelle.
Fortunately, Victoria enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Victoria worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was in book keeping. She was employed for over 35 years. Victoria always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Victoria enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. One of her favorite pursuits were sewing. She was an accomplished seamstress. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Victoria’s faith was also very important to her. She was a dedicated member of the Seventh- Day Adventist Church. During that time, she supported her husband who was a minister of the church for over 40 years.
Victoria passed away on September 10, 2010 in Chula Vista, California. She is survived by her husband, Earl Labry; daughters, Victoria Cabrera, and Ellen Arguello; son, Ercelle Labry and wife, Tara; grandchildren, Anais and Ercelle Arguello; as well as siblings, Sato, Elias, Rodo, Jacobo, Andres, Sergio, Goyo, Rosa, and Isabel. Services were held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel on September 16, 2010. Victoria was laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Victoria was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a dedicated wife, as well as a generous and loving mother and grandmother. She was a vital part of everyones lives. Victoria leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Victoria P. Labry.
