

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Virginia M. Rabina was no exception. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Virginia will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Virginia’s life journey began on June 1, 1931. She first greeted the world in Palat, Porac, Pampanga, Philippines. Her parents' names were Juan and Anacleta Malit. Virginia and her family shared many special life experiences over the years, creating many fond memories.
Virgina was a good student who had a fairly happy high school experience, making the critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from high school and excelled in dress making.
Virginia met and fell in love with Fil Rabina and the couple exchanged wedding vows in 1952. The wedding took place in Palat, Porac, Philippines. The couple was blessed with seven children, daughters Delia, Myrna, Helen, Amparo and Ruth and sons, Nathaniel and Jonathan. Virginia worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs, raising her children in a positive and nurturing environment. Later in life, Virginia was blessed with the gift of 13 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Virginia enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Virginia worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. She worked at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, California for many years.
Virginia enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including singing, playing the piano, cooking and taking part in spiritual church activities. She was always happy to share her interests with others.
Virginia took joy from being involved in her community. She received a special recognition merit from the Women’s Society of Christian Service Middle Philippines Annual Conference San Fernando, Pampanga for living a life that was humbly dedicated, loyal and faithful to service. She was recognized for being unselfish, wholehearted, eager and sincere. She sacrificed and spurned her material gain and embraced a life of self giving.
Virginia Rabina left us on August 23, 2011. She passed away at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City, California. She is survived by her loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other loved ones. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A funeral service was held at The Little Chapel of the Roses in Bonita on September 2, 2011. Virginia was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
Simply stated, Virgina was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Virgina leaves behind her a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life Virginia M. Rabina touched will always remember her with a smile.
