

Willard Keeling Brown, died peacefully on December 31, 2010 with his family by his side. He was born to Elbert and Maggie Brown on December 11, 1924 in Groesbeck, Texas. He was one of five children. He married Elinor Robinson in Winter Haven on August 29, 1964.
He graduated from Groesbeck High and attended Baylor University. He excelled in football and the love of sports continued throughout his life. He joined the Navy in February 1943 and served our country honorably in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He received many awards and commendations for his service. He spent his military career on ships of various kinds and retired on April 9, 1965.
He worked for Field Enterprises Education Corp for 22 years in sales and management. He and his wife were Co-Division Managers of a large sales team in Southern California. He was recognized as an outstanding achiever and won every company award. He loved traveling, especially with his wife and family. They traveled to every continent and ocean in the world. He loved watching sports. He will be greatly missed.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elinor, of 45 years. He is survived by their four children, Sharon Crump (Dean), Diane Robinson, Stephen Robinson, & Dr. Eric Robinson (Teci); 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; two brothers, Dale of Mexia, Texas & Gordon of Huntsville, Texas; many nieces and nephews in Texas.
A memorial service will be held at Glen Abbey's Chapel of the Roses in Bonita on Friday, January 21st. Viewing from 12-2 pm, service at 2pm, burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Wounded Warrior Project.
