Pauline was a devoted, faithful, and compassionate individual known for her bravery, generosity, and hard-working nature. Her honest and kind-hearted spirit, coupled with her resilience, left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
In her early life, Pauline attended St. Thomas Elementary School and graduated from H. Frank Cary High School in Franklin Square as part of the first graduating class. She furthered her education at Barbizon Modeling School and Katharine Gibbs School. At the age of 13, she met her husband, Joseph N. Graziano, and they married when she turned 19.
Pauline's career included working as an Executive Secretary at Long Island Trust Company. Her greatest achievement, however, was being a full-time mother to her three daughters. In 1980, she began a career as an eyewear customer service representative for Clear Vision Optical and retired from Clear Vision at the age of 65.
Pauline married Joseph N. Graziano at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Hempstead, NY, in 1961, the same church where she attended elementary school and where her funeral mass will be celebrated. She is survived by her three daughters, Suzanne Graziano, Deanna Graziano, and Lori Anne (Ron Stuhm) Graziano-Stuhm; her sister, Josephine (Anthony) Martino; her brother, Paul Pica, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. Pauline had a special place in her heart for her "grand-pets." She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Mary Pica, and her husband, Joseph N. Graziano.
Pauline was a creative soul with interests in painting, illustration, and fashion illustration while at Barbizon. She enjoyed tending to her plants and garden, cooking, baking, shopping at the mall, and watching shows on the Hallmark channel.
A lifetime member of St. Thomas the Apostle in West Hempstead, NY, Pauline was also a member of St. Leo the Great in Bonita Springs, FL. She would always bless people by saying "God Bless You."
The family would like to thank all of the caregivers, doctors, nurses, and therapists who helped take care of Pauline over the past ten years of her life.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Pauline's honor to the charity of your choice.
Details about the mass and burial in New York will be provided as they become available.
