Raised in Inwood, New York, alongside his sister, Virginia Parro, Bob was a dedicated member of his community and family.
A 30-year veteran of the FDNY and a Marine Corps reservist, Bob was known for his love of adventure and the great outdoors. He was an infamous storyteller and an avid runner, qualities that endeared him to many.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Kathleen; his children, Karen Pike and Brian Pike; and five grandchildren, Shelby, Kerry, Billy, Maura, and Liberty.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 11 at VFW Post #7277, located at 191 Veterans Blvd., Massapequa, New York 11758, at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
