Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Ron spent the last 20-plus years in Southwest Florida with his beloved wife, Priscilla. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic, steady character, and genuine care for others.
In Indiana, Ron began his career in banking before pursuing his passion for building. He partnered with his brother to construct custom homes, taking great pride in his craftsmanship and the relationships he built along the way. Even in retirement, Ron’s willingness to help never faded—he was always ready to offer guidance, share his knowledge, or lend a hand on any project.
Ron shared nearly 60 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Priscilla Ann Shockney Lewis. Together, they created a life centered on love, faith, and family. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this summer.
Ron appreciated life’s simple pleasures. He had a well-known sweet tooth, especially for homemade desserts. He also enjoyed baking. He was an avid sports fan, active within his church and approached life with organization and purpose. Above all, Ron was a natural caregiver, selflessly caring for his mother and later his wife with unwavering devotion, patience, and love.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Ron found his greatest joy in his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla; his son, Keith (Audery) Lewis; his daughter, Stephanie (Andrew) Inlow; his cherished granddaughters, Hannah and Emily Lewis, and Ava and Jenna Inlow; and his brother, Don Lewis (Sharon), along with nieces and nephews.
Ron will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Ron’s name to the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, or the Men’s Ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be announced in the coming days.
