Barry Dean Yearber, 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Baptist Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford. He was born April 14, 1951, to Ollie Earl and Lucy Mae Yearber. He was a member of East Booneville Baptist Church serving as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. He attended New Site High School, NEMCC and Mississippi State University. He worked for Baptist Hospital in Booneville for 40 years in the Respiratory Department working his way up to director before his retirement in 2013. He cherished the many friends he made working there. He enjoyed tending his flower and vegetable gardens and watching basketball and classic TV shows.
A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, December 5, 2025, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Howell and Bro. Rickey Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Jumpertown Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Bettye Yearber; daughter, Heather Yearber; son, Cory Yearber; granddaughter, Cloie Yearber; sisters, Patsy Cole , Brinda Goo (Jim); sister-in-law, Norine Yearber; grandpuppy, Euna; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margarette Horn; brother, Donnie Yearber; brothers-in-law, James Horn and Randel Cole.
The loves of Barry’s life were his family and friends, especially his wife, son, daughter, granddaughter and grandpuppy.
