

Bobby Maddox, 85, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was born October 3, 1930 in Prentiss County to Earl and Clara Cook Maddox. He was a member of the Booneville Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon, and he enjoyed driving the church bus for many years. He worked at Brown Shoe and the city of Booneville Street Department. He was a US Army Veteran and served in the Mississippi Army National Guard for 39 years.
Services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Booneville Church of Christ, with Minister Jim Estes and Minister Greg Pollock officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Patrilla Maddox; one daughter, Jane Maddox (Phil) Allen of Crowley, TX; one son, Bob (Trina) Maddox, Jr. of Booneville; two sisters, Barbara Hughes (Ed) Hodge of Hernando and Wilma “Pip” Underwood of Saltillo; one brother, Larry Maddox of the Ozark Community; five grandchildren, Drew Allen, Josh Allen, Sarah Allen, Trey (Ellen) Maddox, and Jennie Carol Maddox; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Jennie Dunn; two brothers, Billy Maddox (twin) and Robert Earl “Snook” Maddox; and one sister, Faye Hood.
Pallbearers will be Elders of the church and Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of the church.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at McMillan Funeral Home and from 12:00 noon till service time at the church.
