Catherine King

Catherine King, 96, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born April 7, 1918, to Joe C. and Carrie Copeland. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Booneville. She graduated from Wheeler High School and went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State. She taught school for 30 years.

Funeral service will be 2:30PM Sunday, February 15, 2015, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Hankins and Rev. David Lowery officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, Jack King and wife Ilah of Lake Junaluska, NC, Gary King and wife Betty of Ripley and John Steven King of Booneville; two sisters, Vitha (Jim) Carr of Carrollton, GA and Sandra (Ray) Crabb of Burleson, TX; one brother, J.C. Copeland of Avon Park, FL; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce King; her parents and one brother, Alvin Copeland.

Visitation will begin at 1:00PM Sunday, February 15, 2015, at First United Methodist Church.
