

Charles A. Garrett, 75, of Jumpertown, died Saturday, August 20, 2011, at home in Jumpertown. He was born November 13, 1935 to William and Bertha Michael Garrett. He was a retired mechanic, a member of Fairview Baptist Church, and a US ARMY Korean War Veteran. Charles is a former State Commander of the VFW and the American Legion.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Pete McCoy and Bro. Mark McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
He is survived by three daughters, Diane Wieland of Waukesha, WI, Kathleen (Mark) Pinkston of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Sherry Beard of Booneville; three sons, Kenneth Charles (Donna) Garrett of Rolla, MO, Stevie Wayne (Sonya) Garrett and Devin Scott Garrett (Fiancee’, Heather Hall) both of Booneville; Mary Evelyn Jumper, Bessie Kolodziejski, & Sarah Inman all of Jumpertown, and Essie (Norman) Benjamin of Corinth; one brother, Larry (Polly) Garrett of Jumpertown; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Johnston Garrett and his parents
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Monday, August 22, 2011 and until service time on Tuesday.
