On April 11, 2013, Debra Jean Stacy Johnson took Jesus’ hand and transcended safely home. She died at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Prentiss County on March 14, 1953, to David and Marie Stacy. She graduated from New Site High School and lived in the community most of her life. She was a faithful member of East Prentiss Baptist Church. She lived her life with enthusiasm and an infectious smile. She touched so many lives and was a blessing to everyone she met. On July 29, 1972, she married and shared her life and dreams with her husband Larry. She worked at the Merle Norman in Booneville, MS, for many years. She loved helping people look their very best. She was a coach’s wife who totally supported her husband and his teams. She was a friend and wonderful role model for her two children, Christie and Alan. Her love was a constant guide for them, but her brightest smile was for her granddaughter Campbell Claire Holly. She loved being a grandmother. Whatever Campbell wanted, Deb wanted. She loved flowers, cooking for her family, and enjoyed all of God’s beautiful gifts.
A celebration of her life will be at 2:00P.M. Sunday, April 14, 2013, at McMillian Funeral home in Booneville, MS, officiated by Rev. Mike Johnson and Rev. Ronnie Hatfield. Burial will be at Siloam Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the New Site Royals men’s basketball team. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 5 – 9 P.M at McMillian Funeral Home in Booneville, MS.
