Dorothy Marie Hester, 95, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025, at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Booneville. She was born June 7, 1930, to Benjamin and Lugenia Calley. She was member of Booneville Church of Christ. She enjoyed adult coloring books, babysitting the grands, gardening, and cooking. Known as a great cook, she would cook for all of the kids in the neighborhood.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Booneville Church of Christ with Joshua Hester officiating. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the church. McMillan Funeral Home is honored to assist the family.
She is survived by one son, James (Melinda) Hester; one daughter, Janice (Larry) Taylor; two grandchildren, Joshua (Morgan) Hester and Macayla (Colton) Cartwright; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Leonard Hester; her parents; and all of her brothers and sisters.
