Edith Green

Edith Green, 93, died Sunday, April 24, 2011, at her home. She was born August 18, 1917, to John Henry and Eunice Lester Johnson. She was a member of Hills Chapel Church of Christ. She enjoyed flowers and gardening.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Don Green and Minister Johnny Miller officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, William Gaston Green; one daughter, Norine Yearber of Booneville; one son, Henry (Alice) Green of Hills Chapel; six grandchildren, Bill (Melissa) Green, Bradley Green, Garland Green, Vicki (Monty) Trexler, Steve Yearber and Sterling (Angie) Yearber; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Delmer McAnally, Ira Barnett and Evie Tennison; and one brother, Bruce Burns.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
