Elbert Eugene Smith, 81, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. He was born February 25, 1932 to Lillion and Earlie Smith. He was a member of Forked Oak Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, January, 23, 2014 at Forked Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Horace McCombs and Bro. David Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Forked Oak Cemetery.
Survived by one daughter, Janet Rowland of Burton; three sons, Danny (Janet Kaye) Smith of Dennis, Wilburn Smith and Marty Smith both of Booneville; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and one special nephew, James Smith of Booneville.
Preceded in death by his wife; Mary Sue Smith; his parents; one sister, Beatrice Gann and two brothers, Ellis and Hurbert Smith.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at McMillan Funeral Home.
