Evie Slack

Evie Slack, 91, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born September 2, 1923, to David Arthur and Nora Lee Livingston Huddleston. She was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She enjoyed shopping.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. David English and Mr. Rusty Slack officiating. Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Jerry (Nancy) Slack of Zion Rest; two grandsons, Rusty (Jennifer) Slack and Scott (Kristi) Slack; two granddaughters, Laura (Greg) Burns and K.K. (Ricky) Bullock; six great-grandchildren, Whitnie (Andrew) Brown, Will Slack, Ben Slack, Lynsie Kate Burns, Anna Slack and Jill Bullock; one great-great-granddaughter, Kate Brown; and one sister-in-law, Ramell Huddleston.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Waymon Slack; her parents; two brothers, J.C. Huddleston, and Hershel (Bernice) Huddlston; sisters, Eunice (Wade) Green and Nell (Clyde) Wilemon; two nephews, Charlie Green and Kenneth Huddleston; and one great-niece, Kacy Huddleston.

Pallbearers are Rusty Slack, Scott Slack, Will Slack, Ben Slack, Ray Huddleston, Ricky Huddleston and James Arthur Huddleston.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
