Gladys May Downs Hill

Gladys May Downs Hill, 99, of the Meadow Creek Community died Thursday, May 23, 2013, Landmark Nursing and Rehab. She was born June 29, 1913 to John and Millie Downs. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 26, 2013 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. C.D. Edge and Bro. Johnny Duvall officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Creek Methodist Cemetery.

Survivors are three daughters, Maxine (Bill) Boozer of Northport, AL, Ruby Harris of Laguna Nigel, CL and Debbie (Kenneth) Bishop; two sons, Forest (Ann) Hill of Olive Branch and Nelson (Mildred) Hill of Saltillo; one brother, Milton Downs of Booneville; 13 grandchildren, Tanya and Cammie Bishop, Paul, David, Keith and Jason Hill, Shawn and Juanna Boozer, Kelly and Brad Harris, Frank Roberts, Deanna Dillard and Pam Simmons; and 22 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by, her husband, Carl Jackson Hill; one infant daughter; her parents; three sisters, Lucy Harris, Hattie Nichols and Lemar Herring; one infant sister; three brothers, “Buddy” Franklin, Feliz “Pete” and C.R. Downs.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM to 9:00PM Saturday, May 25, 2013 and until service time Sunday at McMillan Funeral Home.
