

Homer Ray Ivey, 82, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 2, 1933, to Thomas and Vivian Newborn Ivey. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Snowdown Church of Christ where he served as an Elder. He worked for American Seating, Quartet, and in construction helping to build several houses including some for his own children. He enjoyed fishing, listening to bluegrass music, wood working and spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Snowdown Church of Christ with Minister Don Green, Minister Keith Sanders and Minister Tony Brown officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Snowdown Cemetery.
He is survived by three daughters, Debbie Timbes, Vicki (Mark) Nabers and Beverly (Johnny) Prince; one son, Tim (Missy) Ivey; two brothers, Troy (Ann) Ivey and Glen (Brenda) Ivey; six grandchildren, Derek (Terrianna) Timbes, Ericka Timbes, Rayce Timbes, Kacy (Keenan) Thompson, Ethan Prince and Kaitlyn Prince; and seven great-grandchildren, Evan, Emma, Avery and Addison Lambert, Lukas, Eliot and Ella Timbes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Coker Ivey; his parents; and three brothers, Travis Ivey and two as infants.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 at the funeral home and from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the church.

Services are under the direction of McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville.
