James V. “Bill” Jackson, 84, of Baldwyn died Friday, January 27, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Booneville. He was born August 8, 1927 to Dee Carroll and Nancy Upton Jackson. He was a retired machinist. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of Korea, having served two tours.
Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Brandon Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Gardens.
He is survived by three daughters, Karen Goode of Madison, Kathy (Jim) Mosier of Starkville, and Jennifer (Greg) Sparks of Booneville; two sons, Steve Jackson of Batavia, IL and Danny Jackson of Madison; one sister, Florence Credille of Booneville; three grandchildren, Tyler & Emily Sparks and Colette Jackson; and the mother of his children, Jerri Jackson of Booneville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Raye Gilley; and six brothers, Clovis, Gene, Buster, Alton, R.H., and Odis Jackson.
