James Melvin Penna, 95, died Friday, November 29, 2013, at his home in Booneville. He was born December 31, 1917. He was a mortician with Loflin Funeral Service in Huntsville, Al before retiring and moving back to Booneville. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 2, 2013, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
He is survived by one son, James W. Penna of Booneville; five grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rosie McCarter Penna in 2001; his parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday and until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
