Janette Brackeen Chase

Janette Brackeen Chase, 81, of Rienzi, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at home. She was born November 16, 1933 to Pryor and Ethel Moore Brackeen. She was a retired beautician, homemaker, member of VFW Auxiliary, and a member of Kemps Chapel Baptist Church.

A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2015 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Stephenson and Bro. Seth Bragg officiating. Burial will be in the Kemps Chapel Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James W. Chase; one daughter, June (Barry) Brown of Rienzi; two sons, Ronnie (Karen) Chase of Booneville and Donnie (Donna) Chase of Corinth; one brother, Joe Melvin Brackeen of Rienzi; five grandchildren, Amanda Foster, Ronnie Chase, Jr., Mitchell Chase, Denise Chase, and Daniel Chase; seven great grandchildren; and a special niece, Martha (Ruben) Fugitt of Thrasher.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant daughters; one sister, Geneva Crowe; three brothers, Richmond, Elzie, and Vinson Brackeen.

Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, February 20, 2015 and until service time on Saturday at McMillan Funeral Home.
