Jeanette Horn

Ellen Jeanette Horn, 67, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016, at her home. She was born May 21, 1949, to Troy Wilber and Louise Bonds Pounds. She was a production supervisor for Daybright Industries for several years, and for the SDI Corporation. After leaving the work force, she enjoyed life on the farm with her husband G.W., their dog DJ and Adreonna, whom they had the privilege of rearing as their own. She loved keeping up the lawn and flowers as well as her home where everyone was welcomed. She was an active member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ until her health would no longer permit. She was known for her feisty, yet good sense of humor. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 4, 2016, at McMillan Funeral Home with Minister Daniel Buchanan officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, G.W. Horn of New Site; one son, Chris Horn of Booneville; her mother, Louise Bonds of Booneville; two sisters, Kathy (Ryan) Mills of Waynesboro and Valerie (Daniel) Buchanan for Great Falls, VA; one granddaughter, Adreonna Horn of Florence, AL; one grandson, Devin Horn; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, visits, random acts of kindness, and support in many other heart-felt forms by family and friends.
