Juanita McVay

Juanita McVay, 73, of the Jacinto Community passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a member of the Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Jacinto. She loved cooking, gardening, working in her flowers and fishing.

A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Davis and Bro. Jerry Hooper officiating. Burial will be in the Jacinto Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at McMillan Funeral Home and until service time on Thursday.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie McVay; her sisters-in-laws, Judy Deaton, Hilda McDougal (Jimmy) and Vanda Davis; host of nieces and nephews; and her special friends, Katherine Pace and Teresa Streetman.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Elsie Cooksey; her brothers, JC Cooksey, JE Cooksey and DJ Cooksey; and her sister, Helen Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Johnson, Chad Nunley, James Nunley, Anthony Cooksey, Patrick Streetman, and Kevin McCormick.
