

Leamon H. Jackson, 63, died Monday, January 31, 2011 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth after a brief illness. He was born August 17, 1947 in Florida to Tulon and Lena Grooms Jackson. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He also drove a bus for the Prentiss County School system where he fell in love with the kids who rode his bus. He enjoyed animals, especially horses, singing and playing his guitar, and telling stories with his friends. He especially loved his family and church family.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the Fairview Baptist Church with Bro. Mark McCoy and Bro. Pete McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Young Jackson; one daughter, Shannon (Scott) Mills along with her daughters, Alex and Indya and grandson Noah, all of Booneville; two sons, Tim (Adana) Jackson, along with his son Jadon, all of El Paso, Texas, and Brandon (Jennifer) Jackson of Booneville; his mother, Lena Jackson of Booneville; two sisters, Trudy (Curtis) Featherston of Booneville, and Judy (Larry) Burcham of Tishomingo; three brothers, Andy (Tammy) Jackson and T.L. (Teresa) Jackson, both of Booneville and Glen (Laura) Jackson of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tulon L. Jackson.
Pallbearers will be George Darst, Riley Darst, Bill Shouse, Lanny Smith, Bill Fleming, Ed Stacey, David Russell and Bo Russell.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church and Thursday noon until service time.
