Linda Gay Shirley, 82, of Marietta passed away at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo on Thursday, July 24, 2025. She was born on October 3, 1942, to M.C. and Moyese Gann. Linda was an active member of Marietta Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, mowing her yard and working outside. Her favorite pastime was riding through North Mississippi and the Delta, looking at farmland and crops with her late husband Jim. Linda was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 26, 2025, at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Tony Brown and Minister Ronnie Livingston officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Rest Cemetery.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sonja (Harold) Smith and Suzette (Will) Endris; two grandchildren, Kyle (Amber) Smith and Cameron Endris; and four great-grandchildren, Paxton, Saylor, Buddy and Sylas Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James “Jim” Lee Shirley; and her brother, Gorden Tyra.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
