Louise Robinson

Lillie Louise “Grany” Robinson, 92, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, at her home in Jumpertown surrounded by her family. Louise was married to K.B. and raised their children while working in the public until she was 65. Then, she started working at Jumpertown School through the Green Thumb program and was Grany to all of the children there until she retired officially at the age of 80. For the last twelve years, Louise worked in her yard, cooked and cared for all of her family. She provided love and devoted care to her beloved K.B. until his death in 2021. She was an active and faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending in person. Grany’s biggest joy in life was loving and feeding her big family. She loved deep and unconditionally, in a way that will never be matched for her children, grands, and greats, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church with Bro. David George officiating and Stephanie Brasfield delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home, and 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the church.

She is survived by her son, Larry Newby (Rhonda) and daughter, Cindy White (Barry); son-in-law, Mark Vance; 11 grandchildren, Keylon Berryman (Jeannie Raye), Keith Berryman (Loraine), Steven Prince (Audrey), James Swinford, Jason Swinford (Sara), Chad Newby (Wendy), Candee Switcher (Shane), Christopher Robinson (Amber), Kayla Wade (Thomas), Keeton White and Jordan White; sister, Neita Swader (Johnny); four sisters-in-law, Margie Bridges, Oma Reavis, Sharon Robinson and Sandra Kaye Robinson; 22 great-grandchildren with one due this year; five great-great-grandchildren with one due this year; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, K.B. Robinson; her parents, Edgar and Effie Yates Eaton; one daughter, Linda Vance; two sons, Greg Robinson and Chris Robinson; six brothers, Victor, William Lee, Earnest, W.E., Eugene and Edward Eaton; and four sisters, Vera May Eaton, Ruby Eaton, Velma English and Bernice Bridges.

Pallbearers are her grandsons.
