Mattie Eaton Woolley

Mattie Belle Eaton Woolley, 90, passed away December 20, 2016, at home. She was born May 15, 1926, to Columbus Willard and Leatha Gertrude Chism Wilemon. She was a member of Crossroads united Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, quilting, reading and her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 23, 2016 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Robert McCoy officiating and Marti Downs delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck Woolley; four daughters, Carolyn Sparks, Tina (Jimmy) Moore, Trudy Latch and Margie Thorne; one sister, Margie Faye (Bill) Griffiths; seven grandchildren, Alicia (Tom) Monts, Kathy (Monte) Fletcher, Marti Downs, Delia (Butch) Essary, Matt Latch, Kelly Grimes and Tasha (Shane) Jourdan; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earnest Franklin Eaton; her parents; three sisters; two brothers; and two grandchildren, Kipp Sparks and Tracy Thorne.

Pallbearers are Tyson Prentiss, Chandler Thorne, John Grimes, Shane Jourdan, Butch Essary and Tom Monts.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
