

Mildred Christine Murphy McKissack, 87, went to be with her Heavenly Father Sunday, November 10, 2013. She was born January 19, 1926 to Aubrey and Lillie Gambill Murphy. She married Luther Ford McKissack on May 31, 1941. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As long as life permitted, she was an active member of her church and served in many positions throughout the years, including several years as a church seminary teacher for the youth. She was retired from Blue Bell manufacturing. She and her husband worked in their family business, McKissack’s Welding and Metal Fabrication.
She was dedicated to her family, and for years hosted the Murphy family reunion. She enjoyed life and her many friends.
A celebration of her life will be at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Wayne Smith, Bro. Ray Hall, President Mike Ericksen and Bro. Daivd Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Gina (Charlie) Dacus; a son-in-law, Garry Raden; one brother, Don (Gracie) Murphy; two sisters, Neta Mason and Rachel Hall, all of Booneville; three grandchildren, Steve Collins of Cedar City, UT, Luke (Jamie) Raden of Calvert City, KY, and Chelsea (Michael) Knight of Ripley; nine great-grandchildren, Markee, Murphy, Macey, Mac and Stori Collins, Jasmine, Cole, and Mia Faith Raden, and Lane Knight.
She was preceded in death by her husband Luther McKissack in 1998; a daughter, Fredia Raden; a son, Luther Ray McKissack; her parents; her second mother, Faye Murphy; a brother, A.V. Murphy; and a great-grandson, Paxton Knight.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday and until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
