Robbie McDaniel

Robbie McDaniel, 81, died peacefully at the Magnolia Hospital in Corinth, Mississippi. The daughter of the late Charlie and Belvie Houston, she was born in the Ozark Community in Itawamba County. She was married to Hubert McDaniel for 54 years. Hubert was a Mississippi Highway Patrolman for thirty years. She is survived by one son, Giles, his wife Debbie, and grandchildren-Mary and Darryl Sheet and Warren McDaniel, and one niece, Mary Ann Busby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and six brothers-Red, Jake, Bill, Bo, Tom, and Sam.

Robbie graduated from Fulton High School, Itawamba Community College, and Delta State where she received a B.S.E. Degree in Elementary Education. She taught at Jericho High School, Baldwyn Elementary, and Booneville Elementary School for 37 years. She often shared stories and fond memories of the many students that she taught.

Robbie was a member of Booneville First Baptist Church where she served on various committees. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, and served on the Pastor Search Committee. She leaves a beautiful legacy as a wonderful Christian dedicated to serving God and her fellow man.

Robbie was active in Booneville Civic Clubs-the Pilot Club and the Booneville Woman’s Club. She served as president of these two cubs and as a District Officer. She was also a member of the Kappa Kappa Iota, a teacher fraternity.

Visitation will be prior to the funeral on Sunday from 1:30 to 3:30. The Funeral Service will be Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Booneville.
