Roy Earl Kelly

Roy Earl Kelly, 78, died Thursday, August 4, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born July 27, 1933, to R.H. and Mary Graham Kelly. He was a member of Thrasher Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge # 305. He was retired from the U.S. Army where he attained the rank of Staff Sargent.

Memorial services with military honors will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Christ United Methodist Church with Bro. Jerry Kelly officiating.

He is survived by two daughters, Deanna (Joseph) Caricungan of Tampa Bay, FL and Deborah Kelly of Tupelo; one son, David (Christie) Kelly of Booneville; four sisters, Bernie Palmer of Baldwyn, Mary Frances Smith of Rienzi, Katie (William) Anderson of New Orleans and Edith (William D.) Morris of Hattisburg; two brothers, Jim (Barbara) Kelly and Jerry (Eunice) Kelly, both of Blackland; one special sister-in-law, Bettie (Donnie) Bateman of Yuma, AZ; six grandchildren, Kimberly Fleming, Steven Estes, Stephanie Kuykendall, Ryan Kelly, Taylor Kelly and Emilee Kelly; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Davis Kelly; his second wife, Vivian Leonard Kelly; his parents; two sisters, Annie Lee Kelly and Hermie Morgan; and two brothers, Robert W. Kelly and Herman E. Kelly.
