Sandra Jane Harris

Sandra Jane Moore Harris, 63, of New Site died Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at home. She was born September 18, 1949 to Ray and Ruby Taylor Moore. She was a member of East Prentiss Baptist Church and a housewife. She loved to cook and her granddaughters were her life. She was an avid New Site basketball fan having received the New Site Royals Basketball Fan of the Year Award.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Thursday, March 21, 2013 at East Prentiss Baptist Church with Dr. Kenneth Bishop officiating and Phyllis Barnes delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in the East Prentiss Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Harris of Dennis; two daughters, Angie (Brad) Wilemon of Booneville and Lori Carpenter of New Site; her mother, Ruby Moore of New Site; one sister, Yvonne (Paul Ray) Mayo of New Site; and two granddaughters, Carley Leighanne Carpenter and Emily Grace Wilemon.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leigh Anne Harris; her sister, Martha Barnes; and her father.

Pallbearers will be Bill Harris, Danny Mayo, Dennis Mayo, Terry Barnes, Garry Barnes, Scotty Mayo, Dylan Shook, Preston Mayo, C.T. Moore, and Paul Ray Chaffin. Honorary pallbearers will be New Site Royal Basketball Teams.

Visitation will be 5-9pm Wednesday at the funeral home and 10:00 am until service time on Thursday at the church.
