Shane Strickland

Shane Matthew Strickland, 21, died Monday, August 22, 2011, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born April 12, 1990, in Tupelo. He was a soldier in the Mississippi National Guard. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 25, 2011, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Williams officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Jumpertown Cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Billy D. (Tonyia) Strickland and Sandra (Jerry) Kuchenmeister, both of Rienzi; six brothers, Kevin Strickland, Sean Strickland, Charles Lang, Bobby (Michelle) Allred , Clay South and Kyle South, all of Reinzi; and his grandfather, William “Bill” Hall; two sisters, Sonya (David) Tyra of Fulton and Kayla Hearn, Reinzi.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eudell and Tracy Faye Strickeland, Marillyn Hall and Johnnie Sue Hall; and one uncle, Vestus Ray Strickland.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
