

Charles Wesley Talkington, Jr, 84, of Booneville died Monday, June 24, 2013 at home. He was born August 23, 1928 to Charles Wesley Sr. and Kathryn Jackson Talkington. He was a retired farmer and house parent at Baptist Childrens Village. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
Funeral services with “Military Honors” will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Shannon Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lavelle Talkington; three daughters, Pam (James) Keeton of Booneville, Pat (Tommy) Swindoll of Robinsonville, MS, and Kay (John) McEntyre of Memphis; one sister, Eula Tarver of Iowa, LA; two brothers, Ken and Bill Talkington both of Lake Charles, LA; six grandchildren, Mechell Downs, Tommy Swindoll II, Kelly Carper, Jennifer Barton, Kim Manues, and Shawn Keeton; and twenty great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; and one great granddaughter, Alli Kelly.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Swindoll II, Shawn Keeton, David Barton, Charlie Brunes, Tyler Downs, Dylan Downs, and Jordan Fox.
Visitation will be 1-2pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
