William Stanley Mitchell

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Christ Church Episcopal on 4th and Vine in Boonville, MO.

William was born on June 25, 1935 in Boonville, MO. to Gordon S. & Alice (McFarland) Mitchell. He served in the United States Army. William was united in marriage on March 18, 1961 to Reva Frederick and to this union 4 children were born. He retired after 41 years from Interstate Brands as Transportation Supervisor.

William was a past member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner in Sedalia, MO., he was past Post Commander of Thoma Tuttle American Legion Post #52, and a member of Christ Church Episcopal in Boonville. He loved to watch his grandchildren play ball and he will be remembered as a loving, caring and giving man.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, Richard Thomas Mitchell, II and Gordon Swarner Mitchell, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Reva, of the home, a son, Dwight Mitchell, of Boonville, MO., 3 daughters, Lisa Wyatt and her husband, Jeff, of New Franklin, MO., Alena Stewart, of Boonville, MO., and Madonna Kusgen and her husband, Mark, of Blackwater, MO., a son-in-law, Randy Stewart, of Boonville, MO., 10 grandchildren, Amanda Maddex, Lindsay Kilgore, Rebecca Lyons, Scarlett Carter, William Wayne Grimsley, Brian Grimsley, Miranda Keller, Mitchell Potter, Jenniffer Hansen, and Mary May Stewart, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be given to Christ Church Episcopal.
