
Carmen “BA” LaFerrara, age 87, a lifelong resident of Boston’s North End, passed away on September 15, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (DeMarco) LaFerrara, with whom he shared over forty years of marriage.
Born in Boston, MA on July 15, 1923, he was the son of the late Euplio “Albert” and Anna (Favorita) LaFerrara of Italy.
Mr. LaFerrara served in the United States Army for eight years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was honorably discharged as a Private 1st class. He was a member of the Saint Anthony Society
for over sixty- five years and was a member of the Town Line Bowling League in Malden for over forty years.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, he is survived by two sisters, Antonetta Cavallo of Revere, MA and Helen McGuiggan of Loraine, OH; as well as many, many dear nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Dominica Tafralian, Josephaine Stanton, Rocco LaFerrara, Michelina Diaferio, Stella Circiello, James LaFerrara, Ann Anzalone, and Diane DeMeo.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 20th from the Boston Harborside Home, 580 Commercial St. BOSTON, MA at 8:45AM followed by a 9:45AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church, 12 North Sq, Boston. Family will be accepting visitors at the Boston Harborside Home on Sunday from 4 to 8PM. Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery, Boston. Please omit flowers.
