Iris was born in Abruzzo, Italy and came to the U.S. in 1951 and made her home in Boston’s North End.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank DeSantis; loving mother of Domenic DeSantis and his wife Lori, Mario DeSantis and his wife Linda, and Noreen Faro all of Boston; dear grandmother of Franco and Cara DeSantis, Danielle DeSantis, Michael DeSantis, Mark DeSantis, Tiffany Faro Sudhakaran and Binu Sudhakaran, and Joseph Faro; and the cherished great grandmother of Ruhi Sudhakaran and Gioia DeSantis. She was predeceased by her brother, Domenico Federico.
The family will be receiving visitors at the Funeral Home on Sunday, August 2nd from 3-6pm. Funeral services will begin on Monday August 3rd at 8:45am at Boston Harborside Home of JS Waterman-Langone, 580 Commercial St, Boston followed by a 9:45am funeral mass at St. Leonard Church, corner of Prince and Hanover St, Boston. Services will conclude at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Boston. Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend all services.
