James W. Kelley of Boston’s North End on September 6, 2017. Husband of Joanne (Cannata) Kelley of the North End and former husband of Carolyn (Greives) Kelley of Wakefield. Father of James W. Kelley III of Providence, RI, Jacquelyn M. Kelley of Hampshire, IL, Annette D. Good and her husband Kenneth of Severna Park, MD. Grandfather of Nigel and Marcus Good. Step-father of John M. Czimbal and his wife Carolyn of Malta, NY, and Jeannine Czimbal of San Clemente, CA. Step-grandfather of Mallory A. Czimbal, Ryan M. Czimbal, Evan J. Cooper and Anthony Max Sansalone. Brother-in-law of Josephine Cannata Callahan of Bellaire, FL, Susan Kelley of Providence, RI, Charles Cannata and his wife Susan of Spring Hill, TN, and Charles Gray of Rutland, MA. Also survived by nieces and nephews. James is predeceased by his parents, James W. Kelley Sr. and Hannah (Walsh) Kelley; his brother, Frederick E. Kelley; sisters-in-law, Estelle Panarese, Gilda Vasapoli and Grace Gray. Mr. Kelley was a graduate of M.I.T. with a degree in Physics, Class of 1958 and graduate of Notre Dame University, Master in Physics, 1960. James started his career with Fairchild Semiconductor, Mountain View, CA and worked in the semiconductor industry his entire career. The last 20 years of his career, he was Vice President of marketing for N.E.C. Corporation, Wellesley. He enjoyed golfing, jogging, biking, reading, crossword puzzles and a lifelong fan of the Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots and Celtics. James and Joanne loved the Boston Symphony Orchestra and were members who enjoyed attending their concerts through the years. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday at 11am in the Boston Harborside Home, 580 Commercial St., Boston.
