Joseph "Joey" P. Zannino

Joseph "Joey " Pasquale Zannino, Age 70, passed away on August 17, 2021. Born on July 30, 1951 in the South End of Boston and then his family moved to Jamaica Plain in his younger years. In his later years he lived in Swampscott and then to Stoneham. Beloved son of the late Ilario Antonio Mario Zannino and Isabel (Tawa ) Zannino. Loving Brother of Lorraine Zannino of Lynn, Karen Zannino of Danvers, Jayne Zannino- Peppe of Swampscott, Eileen Zannino and the late Isabella Zannino of the South End. Cherished uncle of Ilario, Giavanna, Isabella , and Santino Zannino-Peppe , and Joel Zannino. Also survived by many loving cousins and friends. Joey was very religious and also was a sponsor for decades of many children through the World Vision Organization and supported them up to their teen years. Joey loved the outdoors and was an avid swimmer and jogger. Joey's smile could fill up a room and he could tell a story like no other. Kind- hearted and loyal to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all he touched. The family will receive visitors on Monday, August 23rd from 4pm to 8 pm in the J.S. Waterman- Langone Chapel, 580 Commercial St., Boston. Valet parking attendants at front door. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 24th at 11am in the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, 1400 Washington St., South End. To join procession to church, be at funeral home by 9:45 am. Joey will be laid to rest with his family in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury, Mass .
