Maria...just heard of your untimely departure.  I can remember like it was yesterday while I was in college parking cars at the North street parking lot with my best friend Dan Decristofaro, yeah "Big Dan" (Lord rest his sole). The night we met, I sang to you..."Maria, Maria, I just met a girl named Maria, she's rid of old boyfriends, (I can't write the next line), I THINK I'M IN LOVE WITH MARIA" Like you, your mom and dad were THE BEST!!.  Like you, they always made me laugh and feel welcome in your house opposite Paul Revere's old place. I always said, Paul had the famous house, but you had family to greet guests.  Will miss you. Maria, I am very sad that I missed the last few poker nights due to work - that has my brain working in overdrive about doing things differently.  You were a formidable woman who impacted the hearts of many, many people, including mine.  You are sorely missed.  Ross, I hurt so much for you and am sending healing thoughts to your heart.  God Bless every one affected by your leaving this Earth so soon.

I had the wonderful pleasure of catching up with Maria 2 weeks ago at Ken Mostone's birthday party.  It was no nice to reminisce about old times and the thrill/ danger of driving in the north end.  At the end of the evening as we went back to the car we remembered all the times we shouted goodnight to Maria from the square as we wandered home from an evening in town. To the family of Maria,
I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a beautiful soul. I have known Maria all my life and not one time did she ever fail to say "hello" to me, in fact she would go out of her way to do so. The North End has truly lost an "Angel",a compassionate , caring lover of children and animals who would never hesitate to help anyone she saw in need.. It pains my heart knowing I will never see that beautiful radiant smile again while here on earth. Fly with the angels, dear girl knowing that you are loved and missed by many. My prayer is those who mourn her loss are comforted by the Almighty and that you hold fast to the precious memories and impact Maria had on so many lives.

My deepest condolences to you and all of the family.  Maria was a great Boggle 'Buddy' for many, many years.  Will miss her greatly.  She was a wonderful person to have known.  May God heal your heart soon.

Dear Ross, Anthony, and all of Maria's family and friends.  I am one of the original boggle buddies.  I met Maria sometime around 1998, online, playing boggle.  Maria, Nan, Teri, Lisa, and I became fast friends.  There was hardly a day that went by that we weren't playing boggle.  I felt a tight bond to Maria that continued to grow over the years.  We all made a pact that if Maria were to ever get married that we would all go to Boston for the wedding.  Lo and behold Maria met Ross and the rest is history.  We made that trip to Boston and then we make the trip again the following year.  We always talked about another trip and it breaks my heart to know that I waited too long.  I loved Maria like the sister I never had.  I will miss her every day for the rest of my life.  She touched my life in so many wonderful ways.  I can hardly bear the thought of never seeing her again.  My heart goes out to all of you for your loss.  I know it must be unbearable.  I pray that you take comfort in the fact that Maria was well loved by so many people. She was a very special lady and I am honored to have called her my friend.  I wish that I could be there with all of you to celebrate her life.  Please know that I am there in spirit.  God Bless you all.  Rest in peace my dear friend.

Ross,  I was so sorry to hear of Maria's sudden passing.  I am Stephanie, your neighbor Alice's daughter and had just recently met the both of you.  I have commented to my Mom that I think that Maria is one of her nicest neighbors.  She was always looking out for my Mom's best interests and offering help.  I really wish I had gotten to know her better.  Please accept my sincerest condolences.
