

Seto Chok Yee Chow, 97, of Boston, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, January 7, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 6, 1913 in Hoy Ping, China. At the age of 62, she emigrated from China to the U.S. in 1975 and had lived independently in Boston for the last 35 years. She lived a happy and simple life needing very little besides her family, friends and church; she was a devoted member of St. James Church in Boston. She gained her U.S. citizenship in 1994, an accomplishment that she was extremely proud of. She is survived by her son, Po Kee Chow and his family of Hong Kong. In the Boston area, she is survived by her daughter, Fong Yee; four grandchildren, Michael; Manwah and her husband Joe; William and his wife Ping; and John and his wife Susan; and nine great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Courtney and Caitlin; Benjamin, Allyson and Jessica; and Matthew, Megan and Lauren.
Visiting hours will be held at St. James Church, 125 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 6PM to 9PM. Church parking on Hudson Street (The old YMCA Bubble) open from 5 PM to 9 PMOn Thursday, January 13, 2011, visiting hours will be held at St. James Church from 8AM to 10AM, followed by a funeral mass at 10AM. Interment to follow at Mount Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury, MA.
