Thomas E Walsh

Born July 14th, 1921, in Boston, Tom was the cherished son of the late Rosanna (Schaeffer) and Thomas Walsh and the loving husband of the late Madeline (Schlicht) Walsh. Tom moved to St. Petersburg in 1987 after retiring from Harvard University where he met and married the late Evelyn (Ford) Walsh. Tom became a member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club where he enjoyed his love of ballroom dancing. Easters were always special when he could take his Great-grandchildren, Samantha and Michael, to the annual Easter egg hunt. He also loved swimming, fishing and cruising the seas.

Tom was a devoted family man and is survived by his Step-Daughter Mary McGuire, two Step-Son’s Joseph and Patrick McGuire, 6 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren.

Beloved brother of Henry, Joseph, Robert, David and Florence Walsh, a Carmelite Nun of Pittsford, NY, and the late John, Richard, Frank, Girard, William, Helen Sheffield, Pauline Zackrison, and Theresa Roy. Tom was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday February 10 at 10AM at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Brookline, MA.
