Anne M. McAnulty Williams was born in Boston and her family moved to Framingham when she and her brother John were young. Her father, Daniel McAnulty, worked at "the Dennison" as a copyeditor. Anne worked there as well and subsequently for the same company in Boston.
Anne married John Hugh Williams in 1949 after he returned from service as a Captain in the US Army in the Pacific in WWII. They lived in Fort Lee, NJ when their daughter, Johanna, was born in 1951. They lived in Teaneck, NJ and then Oradell, NJ until 1970. During this time, Anne managed a nursery school affiliated
with her sister-in-law's music school; she also taught music theory to students in the afternoon.
Anne & John retired to Lakewood Hills in Sandwich, MA in 1970, living in a house that John built. Anne continued to work, as a credit department clerk at Sear's in Hyannis, well into her 70's. John died in 1996, and Anne moved to Shawme Heights in Sandwich in 2003.
Anne was a pioneer in the area of natural/organic nutrition, putting wheat germ on pork chops in the 1960's, and subscribing to a regimen of natural vitamins from that time.
Her faith in the Catholic Church was a source of guidance and solace to Anne throughout her life.
Anne is survived by her daughter Johanna Williams of Falmouth Maine, a niece Patricia Williams Wilcox of Quincy, MA and numerous great nieces & nephews.
