Catherine Marie Raftery

Catherine Marie Raftery (Bickford), born on July 4, 1948, passed away on December 30, 2025, at the age of 77. Catherine was a resident of Bourne, Massachusetts. Loving and devoted wife of the late Bernard Raftery. Devoted mother of Robin Bickford of Bourne, Michael Koutrouba and his wife Sandra of Norwood. Cherished grandmother of Danny Little, Heather Andersen, Ashley Bickford, Michael Koutrouba, and Nicholas Koutrouba. Cherished great grandmother of Paisley and Parker Little. Sister of Marion Lavey of Bridgewater, Paul Bickford of Bourne and the late Charles Bickford, Donald Bickford, Joseph Bickford, Mildred Quigley, Leonard Bickford, Shirley Camillo, Howard Bickford and Helen Kinnally. Daughter of the late Charles Bickford and Helen Bickford (O’Neil). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Catherine worked at Falmouth Hospital in the Radiology Department for over 20 years. She loved spending time outdoors working in her yard as well as spending time with her grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her team at the Fresenius Kidney Care of Mashpee and the Cape Cod Visiting Nurse Association.

Visiting hours will be held at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, located at 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA, 02532, on January 6, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Parish, 841 Shore Rd, Bourne, MA, 02559, on January 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A graveside service will follow at Oakland Grove Cemetery, Bourne, MA, 02532, on January 7, 2026, from 11:15 am to 11:30 am.
