Edward S. Cody passed away on September 18, 2011, at the age of 86, at the Forestview Nursing Home in Wareham, MA. He was born in Newton, MA to Edward S. Cody, Sr. and Lillian Berquist Cody. In 1946, Edward moved to Scituate, MA and married Elizabeth Ann Shaw in 1949. They were married for 59 years. Edward was an Air Force veteran. He also worked for Boston Edison Company for over 40 years until his retirement in 1992. In 2004, Edward and Elizabeth moved to Bourne. He was an avid Red Sox fan and loved woodworking in his spare time. He leaves 3 children: Elizabeth Ann and her husband Kenneth Fox of Bourne; Edward S. Cody III and his wife, Lucinda of Weymouth; and Barbara Tobin of Plymouth. He also leaves grandchildren Stephen Fox, Danielle and Jennifer Cody, Chris Tobin, Amanda (Tobin) Pearson and her husband Nick, Cody Tobin, and many nieces and nephews. Edward also leaves 2 great-grandchildren: Corey Cameron-Tobin and Aiden Pearson. He was also pre-deceased by his siblings Dorothy Ford and John Cody and grandson Daniel Fox. Burial and funeral will be private.
