My best wishes go out to the family, have many fond memories of Mom Tardif growing up and spending time with her later in life with the family. She will always be in my thoughts, will miss her gruff but fair opinions and advice. Rest in peace, we will all see you later.

Mrs. T was my Girl Scout troop leader and bus driver, as well as mom to my friends Ken, Matt, Danielle and Denise. She told us many stories of her own childhood usually funny and some serious. She really understood kids! As our bus driver, she tolerated no nonsense. We thought she must have eyes in the back of her head, as she missed none of the tricks kids would try. But if we behaved, she would add a little speed over a bump in the road that bounced kids in the back right off their seats and laugh heartily! 
As our scout leader and friend Mom, she was a woman to trust. Her gruff kindness was evident always. As teens, we always knew she would welcome us to sit on the couch for a chat. She was interested and encouraging. Her love for her husband and kids was constant. I remember her as strong, capable and kind. I will remember Mrs T always!

So many moments spent together. Such beautiful memories you have left me. For 3 weeks a year, my Bebe would have her name changed to « Shorty « , during Fern’s stay with us.  You have been my mentor, my friend; you have taught me so much! Forever I shall be grateful for this life we shared 🙏❤️🐈‍⬛

My deepest sympathy and prayers to the Tardif Family.  I met Fern when I started working at Cataumet Fish at age 13!  She affectionately called me "Rotten Little Kid".  I loved hearing stories of her trips to Canada.  She always made me laugh, was like a second mom to me and really cared about all of us young kids that worked there.  As I grew through college, married and had kids of my own, she kept our friendship strong through letters and meeting up for ice cream when I was back on the Cape.  My kids have blankets and sweaters knitted by Fern that are now stored for their children.  She was a true gem and will be missed.

I wil miss fern she was a sweetheart and I will cherish all the memories of her. Knowing her and her family for years living in Cataumet myself and her kids growing up with mine and fern and my wife being very close friends. after moving to Maine 23 years ago Fern  and her good friend came up and stayed for a couple weeks we all had a wonderful visit .i will cherish that time we spent together. Fern always kept in touch writing to my wife Sandi letting her know what was going on in Cataumet.My heart goes out to Bob  and the rest of the Tardif family . May Fern rest in pease and may her and Sandi find each other in heaven and watch over all of us left down here.                                                          Love     Jim Barton.
