Frances A. Quigley, 84 of Plymouth, died peacefully Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing Home in Buzzards Bay, with her family at her side. Her husband, John, predeceased her in 2001. She leaves her daughters, Laura Cantelli and her husband Michael of Plymouth, Elaine Guglielmello of Westborough, Janet Egger and her husband, Jack of Rochster. She also leases a sister, Patricia Knepper and her husband, Dale of South Yarmouth. She also leaves six grand children and one great grand-child.
Fran was fortunate to have spent many of her retirement years traveling. She saw much of the world. She loved the beach and moved to Sandwich in 1979. Her grandchildren knew her lovingly as Beach Grandma. She then moved to Plymouth on Great Herring Pond in 2004. She was an avid cross country skier, artist, and loved working with people. She continued working full time well into her seventies. She also loved going to the movies and spending time with her family. She had many wonderful neighbors and friends throughout her life.
Thank you to Sonya and the many wonderful caregivers at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing Home who made her last years as comfortable as possible. We are especially grateful for John, her Chaplain and the other caregivers of Fidelis Hospice for being such special people in her life. We will forever miss you Beach Grandma!
