Frances E. Sweet

Sweet, Frances E., 93 of Plymouth, MA formerly of Dorchester, MA. Passed away on April 25, 2025. She was born to the late Robert and Julia Fullam of Dorchester, MA. on April 20, 1932. Frances grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Cathedral High School in Dorchester. She went on to meet the love of her life, John, and raised 5 children together in their beautiful home in Dorchester. Frances worked in Recording and Statistical in Dorchester and M.I.B. in Dedham. Frances enjoyed spending time at home, walks along the canal, gardening, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Frances was also an avid Boston sports fan.

She is survived by her children: Kathleen Powers (Daniel) of MI, Thomas Sweet (Mayu) of CA, Linda Eckman of Plymouth, Jeanne Lyons (Ray) of ME, and John J. Sweet (Jean) of Cohasset. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Frances was preceded in death by her husband John R. Sweet and her siblings Edith M. Kelly, Catherine (Kitty) Dempsey, and Robert (Skef) Fullam.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Service will follow at 11:30 AM in the funeral home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA. Procession to Massachusetts National Cemetery will begin at 12 PM for a 12:30 PM graveside service.
