Jared Scott MacDonald

Jared was born on January 27th, 1995, in Newton, Massachusetts. He is survived by his parents Susan MacDonald of Plymouth and Lawrence MacDonald of Falmouth, his sisters Alysha MacDonald of Seattle and Aubrey (MacDonald) Hernberg of Boston, and brother-in-law Andrew Hernberg of Boston.

Jared graduated from Holliston High School in 2013. He then joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 2018, where he served four years in Valdez, Alaska and Miami, Florida. He was honorably discharged in 2022. Jared later worked as an electrician throughout the Boston area.

Known for being adventurous, humorous, open-hearted, and gentle, Jared impacted the lives of many. He enjoyed fishing, nature, philosophy, hockey, and golf. His life was one of many experiences – “true, true” as he would say. He cared deeply for those he loved and will be dearly missed.

Visiting Hours will be held at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, located at 40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA 02532, on Sunday, November 2nd, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A private burial will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
