John Paul Jones

John Paul Jones of Monument Beach and formerly of Taunton died on November 16, 2012 at the age of 76. He was the loving husband of Phyllis J. (Walentiny) Jones and was one of thirteen children born to the late Hiram and Edna (Eaton) Jones. A veteran of the US Army, he was also a past Master of the Dewitt-Clinton Masonic Lodge in Sandwich, a member of the Weary Travelers Club in Monument Beach and an avid sportsman who had a passion for helping others.

Besides his wife he leaves a son, Brian D. Jones and his wife Charlene of E. Freetown; a daughter, Debra A. Taylor and her husband Earl of Taunton; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his former wife, Ann Jones also of Taunton and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, December 13, 2012 in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. in Bourne. A Memorial Service in the funeral home will begin at 10 am on Friday, December 14, 2012 followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
